Distinct Markings: Sunaro, in her human form, radiates with a temperature ranging between 100 to 120°C. Within her irises, flames seem to be constantly flickering. If one stares deep enough, they’ll see the image of her phoenix form within them. As phoenix, she is surrounded by fiery plasma, down to every individual feather. Only her beak, talons, and eyes are distinguishable from the flames.

Arms and hands: Fingerless crimson gloves that extend to her elbows.
Feet: Crimson boots, extended to her knees. No heels.
Accessories: An wedding ring with a two diamonds embracing one large red diamond.
~~Armor and Weapons~~
Attire: All of Sunaro’s clothing acts as an absorbent and protective barrier against the internal thermal energy that radiates from Sunaro’s core. Consequently her environment is protected from vaporization, ignition, and nuclear fusion. It also allows others to touch her skin, though it still has a feverish touch [100-120°C]. The clothing seems to have biogenic properties, merging with her skin when she transforms into a phoenix and reforming upon her return to her surrogate humanoid form. Just the same, it can be removed like regular clothing.
Enchanted wedding ring: Sunaro is married to a fallen angel named Alec Kane. Her husband was very well known for his unbelievable angelic speed, often able to move faster the brain could process thought. Alec Kane blessed the ring so that it was not only extremely resilient to his wife’s radiant thermal energy, but also with his speed. So long as she wears the ring, which disappears within the flames in her phoenix form, Sunaro can travel at supersonic speeds—with her thermal energy assisting the enchantment, she can travel even faster.
Weapons: N/A
~~Innate Characteristics~~
Cellular Thermal Energy Resilience: Star phoenixes originally live upon stars. Sunaro’s particular origin is from a race of phoenixes that lived on the Earth’s sun. Biologically adapted and meant to live on the extreme temperatures of the Sun’s surface, every aspect of her biology, from her cells to her very DNA, is resilient to extreme thermal energy. Any temperature falling under the Sun’s core temperature is deemed harmless to Sunaro.
Cellular Thermal Energy Assimilation: Star phoenixes live off thermal energy. They metabolize and harvest thermal energy like glucose, using it to feed and power their bodies. Consequently, star phoenixes in their normal state are not only surrounded by fiery plasma, but cause nuclear fusion themselves, and thus have large capacities of energy within their bodies. This process can be magnified or replenished if the phoenix eats carbon sources like magma and earth or breathes in hydrogen and helium [in fact hydrogen and helium is their natural air, though they don’t need to breathe it like humans do oxygen]. Star phoenixes, typically, cannot live on planets without sufficiently ‘dousing’ their flames. Sunaro is capable of doing this for reasons that will be explained further down.
Cellular radiation resistance: Stars produce nuclear radiation, particularly gamma waves, consequently star phoenixes are very adapted to gamma radiation—just as they are thermal energy.
Spiritual Energy: This is what makes Sunaro different from other star phoenixes. Before Sunaro was born, her egg was corrupted with the spirits of two phoenix deities: the self proclaimed phoenix goddess of the sun and love, and the self proclaimed phoenix goddess of darkness and hatred. The possession led to the spirits becoming merged within Sunaro’s body, transforming into, for the lack of a better description, a living ghost. The latter spirit was later purged from her body, due to her embracing and becoming one with former. This gave her a large quantity of spiritual energy, which she uses to contain her thermal energy and allows her to walk on planets. Other abilities are derived from this that will be explained further down.
Phoenix Feathers: Like a normal phoenix, Sunaro’s feathers have buffing abilities. They don’t do much for Sunaro herself, but when given to another person, depending on the size of the feather, they bless them with enchanting abilities: fire resistance, healing powers, energy enhancement, and resurrection. Her primary feathers are the most powerful—but she cannot give away many before losing the ability to fly. Only Alec Kane and one other have received a primary feather, giving them a large fragment of her thermal energy resilience.
Fiery Plasma coating: Reasoning for this is explained in the thermal energy assimilation. When Sunaro transforms into her phoenix form, her clothing merges into her skin and loses its protective effects for the environment. This significantly increases Sunaro’s temperature about a forthfold [800-1,000°F], but note that this is not her maximum surface temperature [which is about the Sun’s surface temperature or 9,940°F]. Most of her inner core byproduct is controlled by her spiritual energy and will power. In fact she has so much control of the plasma surrounding her body that its aura can only extend inches from her body, or be completely absent, allowing others to touch her.
Wings: She’s a bird, she can fly.

[3] Star Making [Mana]
…Goddess of Sun/Love Powers…
[1] Sun Goddess form [Golden phoenix]: This is when Sunaro taps into her Goddess powers. Along with her powers increasing a tenfold[all her attacks have a two prep enhancement], her abilities alter slightly. This is signaled by her flames and eyes transforming into golden amber. This is often a last minute decision and lasts for only five minutes[estimated three turns in T1].
[2] Holy flames: Purification flames that harnesses no effects on and cannot be affected by the environment or material items, but instead burns away the sins within all living beings it touches. Eradicates the shadows, feeds off the light, and reaches through both the ethereal and material planes.
[3] Soul Melody: A melody from the phoenix was entices the soul and causes it to abandon the body, drawn to the potent magic flowing within her tunes. This is gradual and the longer the soul is exposed to the song, the more it detaches from the body—making any mana [magical] attack more difficult to perform.
…Item Enhanced/Other…
[1] Sonic speed: See enchanted engagement ring
[2] Emotion—Power relation: Sunaro’s powers are linked to her emotions. Her magical abilities will undoubtedly increase if she experiences strong emotions such as passion, love, hate, and anger. However, because of her possession of the Goddess of Sun and Love—Sunaro reaches her full power when love and passion embraces her, rather than hate and anger.

~~History ~~
Sunaro’s egg was laid within a flock of Star Phoenixes on the surface of the Earth’s Sun. Her mother, Aurora, was old and close to death. As a custom, Star phoenixes must abandon their young upon laying the egg and fly off great distances to explode into novas. Aurora wished to bless her egg before her departure, but something strange happened when she approached the crimson sphere. Two spirits, one illuminating with a golden glow and the other ominously coated in an onyx shade, embraced the egg and penetrated the shell into the chick inside. The phoenixes were alarmed, fearful, and ultimately their suspicion drove them with the theory that the egg was cursed. They found the omen threatening to life’s existence and decided that the chick inside should be destroyed before birth. Aurora protested this, but the phoenixes were unyielding—Aurora took the egg and fled.
The phoenixes chased Aurora across the interstellar mediums of space, and she fought valiantly to save her chick. In the end Aurora hurled the egg with all her might and forced death into a rapid transpiration, leading to a nova explosion that accelerated the egg through space and fended pursuing phoenix long enough for it to be lost. For years, far too many to count, the egg drifted in space.
The cold vacuum of space should have killed the developing chick, and probably did at one point. The spirits within the shell merged with her body and revived her, preserving her life and transforming her into something greater. Instead of death, the chick went into a hibernating state—everything frozen until heat would revive the chick once more. Eons passed as the egg drifted through space, protected and nourished by the spirits that possessed it. However, after a very long journey, the egg came into contact with Earth’s atmosphere, heat cascading over the egg and awakening the chick within.
The egg descended like a ball of flame, and with even greater fortunate, or perhaps through the mysterious guidance of the spirits within, the egg crashed into the pit of a volcano and nestled within its magma pits. At the base of the volcano lived a primitive village, who witnessed the crash and scaled the volcano side, thinking the ball of flame to be a gift from the gods. Only a few made it to the volcano’s cavern and one was a young female of only 15 years of age—she was the first to set eyes on the egg nestled within the magma, and witnessed the chick hatch.
Sunaro emerged, too underdeveloped to produce the fiery plasma of her species, and laid her eyes from upon the teen girl. As with most birds, the chick imprinted from the teen as its mother. The teen reached to touch the chick, but found her presence as hot as flames—the village thought her a goddess and named her Sunaro.
Under Sunaro’s protection, the village flourished—becoming known as the Potawatomi or people of the place of the fire/ keeper of fire nations. Over a course of 70 years, she lived in the volcano of the village, learning early to control her fiery plasma as it developed. Not having fellow Star Phoenixes to teach her the ways of her kind, Sunaro hardly knew of her potential, or just how incredibly amazing it was that she was able to control her fiery plasma with sheer will power consciously and spiritual power unconsciously.
Then a time came when the village was attacked by a dragon. Sunaro fended off the dragon with some difficulty, chasing it away before too much damage could come upon the dragon. However, when the villagers were attacked by three vengeful dragons at the same time—Sunaro’s powers proved to be overwhelmed. Sunaro struggled to fight off these dragons, but the fierce battle was devastating to the environment. Many of the villages died, and as Sunaro watched their bodies burn and melt away, their pain drew a blank to her mind. She didn’t understand the pain and anguish—she understood none of the emotions she witnessed throughout that battle. She only knew instinct [instinct to protect herself and her territory]. Eventually the battle activated the volcano. Its eruption scared off the dragons, but, needless to say, the village suffered. Sunaro, in a last minute effort, covered her surrogate mother with her own body, saving her from the wave of lava.
Sunaro and her mother escaped the lava, but the excitement was too much for the old woman. With her village burned away, and everyone she’s ever known turned to ash, the woman suffered a heart attack and died soon after. Sunaro watched the dead body silently, not knowing how to feel—literally not feeling anything. She had known the emotions of the humans, witnessed them, but never shared them. Unknown to Sunaro, the spirits within her had barricaded her ability to feel emotion, leaving her blank and numb when her once zestful life was turned into nothing but scorched silence. In the end, she simply flew away from it all.
Sunaro traveled alone for some time, not knowing who she was, what she was meant for, nor what to do with herself. After a time, she came across the territory of another, older phoenix named Boron. Boron at first was aggressive and attacked Sunaro, but soon after discovering what she was, his astonishment ceased his assault. Boron was wise, but knew vaguely of phoenixes from space. Boron instead taught Sunaro the way of the phoenix—their cultures, lifestyle, and abilities. He also told her of places where humans existed in greater more developed numbers. Sunaro stayed with Boron with for fifty years, not only learning to be a phoenix, but learning just how unpheonix like she was. Sunaro didn’t eat, could retain an ethereal state, and naturally produced a fire much hotter than Boron’s. Boron told her she had something deeper within her, something that even he had not heard of. After a time, she left with the desire to discover more about her species.
~~Everything from this point on was done ICly~~
|X| Joining the Chaos Squad |X|
Being raised by humans, Sunaro couldn’t help but be attracted to them. Their emotions intrigued her and she desired to live amongst them. With a great amount of effort and techniques she learned from Boron, Sunaro willed her body into a humanoid form.Although it was never her intention, Sunaro’s human form was rather beautiful and this beauty attracted a young male named Ness. Ness was a womanizing character that could easily woo any woman he desired. When Sunaro didn’t respond with the slightest of interest at his advances [for she didn’t understand them], Ness became obsessed with her, goal orientated into making Sunaro his woman.
In addition, Ness was a leader of a group called the Chaos Squad, a misfit of bandits that robbed taverns and caused havoc upon the town. Intrigued by Ness’s personality, she often stayed at his home, constantly courted by Ness, but never allowing him to touch her.
Then there was a time when the Squad left Sunaro alone in the home, and it was invaded by an enemy group of characters that called themselves the Siths. They viciously attacked the home, and Sunaro fended them off. It was her against six until Ness and his Squad returned, scaring the Siths off. Ness was thoroughly impressed with Sunaro, and he invited her to join the squad on more permanent terms. Finding this the perfect opportunity to discover emotions—Sunaro accepted the request. This was one of the greatest turning points of her life.
It was in this squad that she met Lex. Lex was a wise, devious character that immediately sensed Sunaro’s true nature when he first saw her, amused by the irony of Ness’s trying to seduce a phoenix. Sunaro’s runic demeanor intrigued Lex as well—it quickly dawning upon him that she was not like other phoenixes. Sunaro was also drawn to Lex—his wisdom and knowledge about the world was valuable to her and thus she confided in him. She told him about her past and journey to self discovery. Lex decided to teach Sunaro how to feel emotion, control her powers, and somehow discover who she was.
Lex was a man with a lot of books and a lot of experience. With research, he discovered an old folktale book that told of the Star Phoenix, and ancient deities that possessed unborn. The information was limited, but Sunaro clang to its knowledge like gold. She finally had an idea of who she was, but did not wish to journey to the stars when there was so much she desired to learn on Earth. As time passed, Lex and Sunaro [who was now nicknamed Sunny] continued their training and learning sessions when available.
However, Lex was a busy character that often left the Squad to handle his own business—leaving Sunaro to handle herself. Ness continued to try and express his growing feelings for Sunaro and even asked her to become his girlfriend—Sunaro also found that her emotions were slowly transpiring as she grew in power. While Ness made her feel happy, she had yet to discover the emotions of attachment to another—thus became his girlfriend in order to attempt to draw out these more powerful emotions.
Her emotions became more and more complex as time went by, but Sunaro never felt anything deep towards Ness. Yet she continued to be with him, never touching, but always there for him—affectionate, sweet, and by his side. However, as she began to understand guilt and moral, Sunaro realized that she was only using Ness as a tool and that it was wrong. By the time she confessed to Ness her real intentions and feelings, Ness was deeply love with Sunaro and thus confessed it, asking her to be his bride despite her trickery.
The reaction was stunning—emotions flooded Sunaro all at once and tears, for the very first time, sprouted within her eyes. Shredding tears was an impossible trait for the Star Phoenix, and Lex, who happened to be around at this time, feared that Sunaro’s pain was turning her human—that she would lose her identity as a phoenix forever.
This was not meant to be.
Deep within Sunaro, one of the spirits illuminated brightly and possessed the young phoenix. Under its influence, Sunaro begged Lex to erase her memories, to destroy the emotions she learned and ease the pain that squeezed her growing heart. Lex, though reluctant, erased her memories with a kiss.
|X| Meeting and falling in love with Alec Kane |X|
Sunaro left the squad and was gone for years, wandering the earth again. However, when Lex erased her memories, his heart was too soft and he sensed something deep within Sunaro that told him this was not her choice. Thus, he made it temporary. He had given Sunaro the time to control her powers more before the block broke and memories flooded back into Sunaro once again. Thus she returned to the Chaos Squad.
It was at this point that she finally laid her eyes on Alec Kane. Alec Kane, back when she was first introduced into the squad, was rarely seen and when he was, he often isolated himself in the basement of the headquarters [Also known as the “The Crib”]. More emotions sweeping into Sunaro’s heart, Sunaro felt empathetic towards the fallen angel—his isolation, emotionless exterior, and deep sorrow lingering within reminded her so much of herself. Sunaro felt an intense need to put a smile upon his face.
Alec Kane initially avoided the phoenix, neither giving her the time of day of offering her very little response when she attempted to talk to him. Living a life where men were constantly attempted to challenge and assassinate him, his only trust rested in his bestfriend Ness. Then something happened that alters the fallen angel’s view of Sunaro. War broke out in the Chaos Squad the Siths, leading to many episodes of betrayal, abandonment, and murder within the squad. Alec Kane was the strongest of the squad, often sent to kill more than one man ever should have to. Sunaro stood by his side the entire time—encouraging and supporting the mentally distressed soldier. Alec Kane couldn’t help but develop feelings for the Sunaro.
One night, Sunaro and Alec Kane were left alone. For the first time in her life, Sunaro experienced the emotions lust and passion under the influence of the angel’s touch upon her body. These emotions proved to be most detrimental to the Crib as she nearly burned down the entire place with her uncontrolled powers. It was then that Sunaro discovered her emotions were strongly linked to her powers.
Confused and scared, Sunaro confessed this to Lex, who could only smile in amusement at Sunaro’s experience [as he had attempted to teach her lust as well in the past] before finally explaining to her the understood concepts of lust, passion, and love. Sunaro wondered about these emotions, an intense feeling of discomfort yet curiosity exploiting her at the thought of loving someone—especially when she felt such intense emotions at simply the thought of Alec Kane.
As more time passed, other lustful episodes occurring between Sunaro and Alec Kane and life threatening battles occurring throughout the war, Sunaro realized that she had fallen in love with Alec Kane and he with her—but she feared to admit it, feeling as if something deep within her body was threatening her very being. Little did she know that it was the spirits possessing her body. But this could not be avoided forever, Alec Kane did not understand why Sunaro could not confess her love, he knew she felt it, and despite Sunaro attempts to get him to drop it, he simply couldn’t. The war with the Sith had escalated to an unbelieve and ridiculous point, were trust was so broken that friends became enemies, and no place was safe. The angel feared his life would be spontaneously ended at any moment. He had to hear her say it. Sunaro, feeling he deserved her confession more than anything…confessed her love for him.
As a result, one of the spirits awakened.
Sunaro was completely taken over by the golden spirit that revealed herself to be the Goddess of the Sun and Love. The goddess explained to Alec that the emotion of love was far too powerful for Sunny to control at her current level, and thus her memories needed to be wiped. Living life without Sunny was too much for Alec Kane to bear, and he shed tears before the goddess at his mistake. The Goddess, heart bleeding from the sight, compromised to only wipe Sunny’s mind of the event—so long as Alec promised not to make the same mistake again. Upon Alec’s agreement Sunaro was returned.
|X| The Goddess of Void |X|
As time passed, Sunaro and Alec Kane’s love grew to a substantial level. With the help of Sunaro’s primary feather, Alec’s body had become extremely resilient to her high temperature—blessing him with the ability to touch her outside and in. They got married and through an incredible display of miracles, Sunaro gave birth to twins [Alec Kane Jr. and Serenity Kane]. The birth nearly killed Sunaro, for phoenixes of any kind were never allowed to live, but with the help of the spirits and Alec Kane’s own energy, Sunaro survived.
Things seemed wondrous for the family at first…however it wasn’t meant to last. The war with the Siths had become even more potent with betrayal and hate. With so many years of killing men under his belt, Alec Kane slowly became a psychotic man, deranged and lost with the blood and gore. Sunaro, who was losing her husband to the war, became filled with malice and bitterness, darkness gradually consuming her body until finally the second spirit, the Goddess of Darkness and Hate, began to awaken and corrupt her.
This pain was eased by a third character named Vegeta [Yes that was his name]. Vegeta was, in a sense, a love rival of Alec Kane. Vegeta had fallen in love with Sunaro early when she returned to the Chaos Squad. Another soldier driven into depression from the war, Vegeta was comforted by Sunaro in his time of sorrow and offered her friendship. Alec Kane gone in the war, and Sunaro never seeing the man she loved so much, she confided in Vegeta and without realizing it, developed a romantic attachment to him
During the time where the darkness was over taking her, Sunaro had terrible episodes where she nearly killed herself by being devoured by the dark energy. She threatened violence, had killed a member of the squad, and was simply losing her mind. Vegeta threw himself into the chaos, constantly forcing Sunaro to her senses whilst endangering his own life. There was a time where Sunaro nearly killed him, something she rectified by sacrificing one of her primary feathers.
While her affections for Vegeta could not even press upon her love for Alec Kane, Sunaro couldn’t deny the fact that she had fallen in love with Vegeta as well. However, when Alec Kane returned from the war, Sunaro would always race into his arms, her love unmatched by anything. Vegeta, unable to handle the fact that Sunaro loved Alec Kane more, attacked Sunaro. Her guilt was too over bearing; she allowed Vegeta to attack her and didn’t fight back until he was finished, leaving her weakened on the earth. Alec Kane found out and things turned the worse for Vegeta. While Sunaro begged him not to kill Vegeta, Vegeta’s anger made her efforts useless. He vowed to destroy Alec Kane and attacked him blind-sightedly. Alec Kane killed Vegeta. The death of Vegeta caused rage in Sunaro and she shunned Alec Kane for it [who quickly realized that Sunaro had feelings for him]. Sunaro and Alec Kane grew more and more apart.
The distance growing between Sunaro and Alec were too much for both sides to handle, but impacted Alec the worse. Consumed with the thought of being abandoned by everyone, Alec Kane dropped his will to live and was killed by a Sith soldier named Diamond. Sunaro’s grief and pain from her lost lover consumed her mind and body and the Goddess of Void possessed her. Sunaro became known as the Dark Phoenix, threatening to kill the entire Squad and anything else that reminded her of the intense pain flowing within her heart. Alec, within the ethereal realm, discovered this and contacted Sunaro in attempt to tame the beast. It worked to a degree and Alec Kane was able to keep Sunaro passive until she was able to revive him.
|X| The Goddess of the Sun and Love |X|
This event made Sunaro and Alec’s love grow immensely. Alec Kane, tired of the war and discovering that Ness was a traitor to the squad, left with Sunaro at his side. Together with his family, he started a new squad called "Second Life". Sunaro had achieved so much in the passing ten years, but even though she could feel emotions, she still felt as if she did not have control over her body. Sunaro knew that in order to truly find herself, she had to face the spirits within her and win.
Saying her good-byes, Sunaro left Onnet and started a long journey to the Sun in attempts to discover the Goddess of Sun and Love within her. When she landed upon the Sun, her wish was granted and the Goddess confronted her. Sunaro demanded for the right to harness her powers, but the Goddess was skeptical in her ability—thus it was decided that Sunaro would have to land a single hit upon the Goddess in order to prove her worth. Sunaro attacked, but was easily blow away with such power that she crashed landed on Mars, many light years away.
It was there that Sunaro met Rondo, an old and powerful phoenix that claimed he expected her arrival and that he would train her to beat the Goddess. Rondo knew too well of Star Phoenixes, their powerful, and lives. He taught her everything he knew. After this training, Sunaro returned to the Sun and fought the Goddess. The battled lasted for three earth days until Sunaro finally struck the Goddess and sent her crashing into the Sun’s surface. As promised, the Goddess agreed to grant Sunaro her powers. Their souls coalesced as one and Sunaro became the Goddess of the Sun.
More atuned with her body, Sunaro realized that the other spirit was banished—though she had not a clue where it was. Later it turned out that the dark spirit had possessed her daughter [but that’s a different story]. Reborn for the second time in her life—Sunaro returned home.
|X| Her separation from her family, but eternal devotion |X|
Things were different. Upon her coalesced spirit with the Goddess, Sunaro realized that she did not possess the human indulgences that she once carried. Her phoenix side had suddenly dominated the human side she had developed for many years and things such as desire no longer existed. While Sunaro undoubtedly loved her husband and her children—Sunaro felt detached from them. She was no longer attracted to Alec Kane, or any other human for that manner nor did she feel the instinct to nurture her children. She had become detached to all human lifestyle in her connection to the Goddess. Alec Kane could not accept this—he could not accept not being able to touch his wife, express his love, or feel her affectionate towards him. With a bleeding soul, Alec Kane divorced Sunaro.
The pain Sunaro felt from being separated from her husband was unbearable, but she respected his wishes. Sunaro left her home and decided to explore the world on her own, attempting to find new ways to help with her new powers.
More years passed, but Sunaro’s yearning to be with Alec Kane eventually brought her back to Onnet. Alec Kane, who sensed Sunaro’s presence within Onnet once again, searched and found her. Through a surprising act, he asked her to be his wife once again. Sunaro had never felt so much joy in her life. Alec explained that he didn’t care if Sunaro could not be near him or the children, and while he didn’t realize it at first, all he needed was to know that she loved him. Sunaro, frivolous at this, embraced her husband with emotional eyes and promised that she would love no one but him.
Sunaro left Onnet again with a lighter heart and now travels through the realms and worlds, searching for a new life that can fulfill her purpose as Goddess—although her heart would always be with her children and husband back in Onnet.
