- Moor Physiology:
Name: Moor Physiology
Type: Racial / Personal
Description: The Moors, otherwise known as Shadows, are an ancient group of creatures that have blended in with the world of Vampires and Sympaths for a very long time. They're mentally strong, as well as physically strong and fast, matching that of a Vampire's speed and strength.
They have a wide range of shadow manipulation and psychic abilities that make them downright lethal, including an immunity to the sun, disease, parasites, sickness, and poisons. They bleed dark blue, which indicates that other than using air to speak, they have no use for breathing - their blood downright poisonous to those outside of their race. For this race a stake through the heart will do nothing more than piss them off, and not even paralyze them such as with Vampires and other creatures.
They're capable of going long periods of time without feeding, and feed from their own kind as the blood of their own makes them the strongest, however they can feed off of other creatures such as Humans, Vampires, or Sympaths. The only difference between a Moor and a Vampire is their great deal more of mental abilities, better control over shadow manipulation, and their rituals and customs.

- Trickster:
Name: Trickster
Type: Racial / Personal
Description: User is (or can draw from) a Trickster: a god, goddess, spirit, man, woman, or anthropomorphic animal who plays tricks or otherwise disobeys normal rules and conventional behavior. The Trickster openly questions and mocks authority, encourages impulse and enthusiasm, seeks out new ideas and experiences, destroys convention and complacency, and promotes chaos and unrest. At the same time, the trickster brings new knowledge, wisdom and many An Aesop. Even when punished horribly for his effrontery, his indomitable spirit (or plain sheer foolishness) keeps him coming back for more.
Tricksters can be anything from gods of chaos, bedeviling heroes for a few laughs, to master manipulators who use cruel ploys and sadistic choices. They can also be heroes (or more likely Anti-Heroes) who make up for a lack of strength or bravery with manipulation, planning, or just plain cheating. The trickster is often a Master of Disguise and may have magical or super-powers.
In mythology and religion, the trickster deity breaks the rules of the gods or nature, sometimes maliciously but usually (albeit unintentionally) with ultimately positive effects. Often, the bending/breaking of rules takes the form of tricks or thievery. Tricksters can be cunning or foolish or both; they are often funny even when considered sacred or performing important cultural tasks.

General Description: Niala is a rather thin female; given that she tends to avoid food unless it becomes absolutely necessary, yet she has some muscle due to her athleticism. Her skin is pale and smooth, burning easily in the sunlight which makes her a bit of a night-owl, or if she does have to go out into it she layers up even on the warmest of days.
She can always be found with a shoulder bag of some kind, normally crammed with pencils or books, and drawing supplies. She tends to gravitate between a schoolgirl type outfit and simple sandals, black pants, and a white top with a hat. All depending on the kind of weather it happens to be outside and if its sunny or not.
About You:
History: Niala's father was a time traveler and a respectable businessman, and his father before him, and so on and so forth. It was a trait, an ability, that was only said to be passed through the blood to the first born male of the family. Niala's mother, the love of her father's life, died within minutes of giving Niala into this world.
No matter how many attempts to rewind time, to reverse the death, her father made he just was unable to save Niala's mother. He cursed Niala from that day, and cursed her even still when he found out about her abilities. Those close to them who could do much of the same called her a miracle, a "Change in the World". They said it was a gift she had and that she should forever cherish it, but at the hands of her father... it seemed like a curse.
He knew, given that everyone knew of her birth, he couldn't just do-away with her. They lived in more modern times; where the disappearance of such a young child would raise suspicion. Therefore he hired on a nurse-maid to take care of the girl and to keep her completely out of his hair. His favorite line became "Children should be rarely seen, and never heard". If there wasn't some important event for the company he worked for, or some sort of dinner party that would demand Niala's presence, she just wasn't allowed around.
On the several occasions to where the nurse-maid would let the child slip through their grasp the nurse-maid, and Niala, were beaten. Niala was sent to bed, only to awake to a new nurse-maid who her father claimed would be 'brighter' than the last. This only happened about a handful of times; Niala quickly learning to remain hidden, and to hide if she did happen to be about and heard her father approaching.
However, she didn't have long to continue to have to play the sadistic game of hide-and-seek. When Niala turned five she was instantly shipped to boarding school; and her father opted for a year round program so that, other than holidays, he didn't have to deal with her being in the house. It was another of those cruel moments, a way for her father to try and torment her.
But, it wasn't a punishment at all. Niala enjoyed being out of the house with far less rules than those she had to deal with when she was home. She enjoyed learning and enjoyed school. She thrived at it. Going home was more of a punishment than having to go to school; but she never let that be known, or else she knew her father would keep her home just to be cruel.
By the time that Niala was ten years old she was top of her class, and top of her school. The school sent home letters and rewards, all to do with congratulating Niala. But, they felt to deaf ears.
During the almost five full years of being constantly at school Niala was forced home on a vacation instead of being allowed to stay. There was a small outbreak going around the school, and so the boarding school had chosen to send all of the students home in an attempt to isolate and clean the school during the month that they were aware; hoping that this would stop any further spreading of what was going around.
So, Niala found herself beneath her father's rule once more; and again the sadistic game of hide and go seek was played. She stayed in her room when she could; again only forced out during parties or other such things. But, for the remainder she was either in her room or the library; completely oblivious to the fact that her father had a... problem.. of sorts.
He was a betting man, a gambler. One who had got himself way in over his head. He owed debts that he couldn't afford to pay because his company was failing. However, that didn't stop him at all. So, he found himself betting on a horse race with a very powerful, to say the least, family: a mob run family. The bet was simple, he put almost a million dollars on a horse a million that that particular family had loaned to him.
He failed, of course. No amount of time travel could stop fate from happening the way it was going to. No matter how he played his cards it seemed like someone, somewhere, was out to get him. He had no choice but to accept his loss. But, that left him with a problem - he had no money but he owed what he had borrowed and double.
They came looking for him, the mob that is, and when he was unable to pay up they began to beat him mercilessly. That was, until drawn by the sound, little Niala entered into the room, peeking around the corner to try and see what the screaming had been about.
The man who ran the family was about as cruel as her own father and seized on his chance to have the debt re-payed. He snatched up Niala and informed her father that until he was capable of paying them back they would keep Niala as collateral. Not knowing that Niala's father would never, even if he did have the money, give it to them in exchange for his daughters release.
Niala had thought to escape, to jump through time as she had often done, but found herself unable to; for much the same reason her father had been unable to stop his beating. The family had some sort of special medallion that stopped them from being able to use their time traveling abilities.
So, Niala was left with no choice but to live with her fate. Weeks passed, and she found herself in relative comfort. They hadn't harmed her, but they hadn't indulged her either. She slept in the servants quarters and ate what the servants ate. They were good and kind to her; and her time there was at least comfortable.
Though, it soon became clear for the family that her father had no intentions of paying them. In fact, the man had made a rather large borrow from another family and then had fled; unable to be found anywhere and with no trace left behind. Knowing that Niala was going to cost them more than she was worth if they kept housing her they sold her in a trade to another family...
This family was far crueler. She was put through hell to put it mildly. Hard work, very little sleep, and horrible punishments designed to break even the most hardened of hearts when she slipped even a toe out of line. Over and over again she attempted to escape until finally... she just stopped.
They thought that they had broken her spirit down finally, thought that they had made yet another servant like robot out of her the same as they had everyone else. But, they were wrong. Niala waited, biding her time as days turned into weeks, weeks into months, months into years. Finally, the family took a vacation, leaving their servants behind under the watchful eye of a guard.
The guard was more than stupid to put it nicely, and poisoning him took almost no effort at all. She simply slipped it in with the sugar into his tea and moments later the male succumb to a heart attack. Seizing on her chance Niala escaped; she knew the others would never come with her right now, but also knew that if they stayed they would be punished for her crime.
So, she quickly met up with and found help... a group of sorts that heard her cries as she ran through the woods, trying to rouse any sort of help that she could. That help came... and she was freed into the world she now lives; living every day like it could be her very last, and with little fear of what might be lying around the corner waiting.
